Shopify Flow triggers

Ayra exposes its signals and engine decisions to Shopify Flow as triggers, so you can react to a loyalty tier change, a referral reward or a Journey Guard decision with Shopify’s own actions (tag a customer, add to a segment, send a Shopify Email, call a webhook). Every trigger carries the customer ID, the Ayra event name and a payload specific to the trigger. Triggers for modules that have not shipped are listed as planned so you can plan automations; they appear in Flow when the module does.

  • Triggers are registered as a Flow extension of the Ayra app and appear in Shopify Flow under Ayra.
  • Each trigger fires once per event, after Journey Guard has made its decision (so a “message sent” trigger means the message really went out).
  • Payloads use Shopify object references where one exists (customer, order, product variant), so Flow’s own conditions and actions can read them directly.
  • The same events are available as typed events for developers; the trigger name is the event name without the ay: prefix.

Status: live is available to beta merchants today; planned ships with the module named.

  1. In Shopify Flow, create a workflow with the trigger Ayra: Tier changed.
  2. Add a condition: toTier equals Gold.
  3. Add the action Add customer tags with ayra-gold.

The tag is now usable in Shopify segments, Shopify Email and any app that reads tags. Ayra also writes the tier to a customer metafield, which is usually the better join key; see Metafields & metaobjects.
