Pre-Order
Ayra Pre-Order is a Shopify pre-order module built on selling plans, so full-payment and deposit pre-orders run through native checkout and fulfilment. Expected ship dates show on the product page, cart, checkout and account, and partial fulfilment is handled without manual work.
Private beta — docs coming with the module. Pre-Order is coming soon; this page is kept current with the product page until the module ships to beta merchants.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”- Full-payment and deposit pre-orders. Take the full amount up front or a deposit with the balance charged later, per product.
- Selling-plan based, no checkout hacks. Pre-orders are Shopify selling plans, so checkout, taxes, discounts and payments behave as Shopify intends.
- Per-variant limits. Cap how many pre-orders each variant accepts, so you never sell more than the incoming stock.
- Expected ship dates everywhere. The date shows on the product page, in the cart, at checkout and in the customer's account, so nobody has to ask.
- Partial fulfilment handling. When an order mixes in-stock and pre-order items, Ayra handles the split so in-stock items ship now.
- Auto-switch from back-in-stock. When a restock date is known, back-in-stock alerts offer the pre-order instead.

- Back in Stock: Demand captured as a restock alert converts to a pre-order the moment a date is known, on the same profile.
- Lifecycle Flows: Ship-date changes trigger a flow step, so customers hear about delays from you first.
- Retention Analytics: Pre-order revenue is attributed on the profile, so you can see what the waitlist was worth.

- Can I take a deposit instead of full payment?
- Yes. Choose full payment or a deposit per product, with the balance charged later through the selling plan.
- Does pre-order change my checkout?
- No. Pre-orders are Shopify selling plans, so checkout works as normal and ship dates appear through a checkout UI extension.
- Can I limit how many pre-orders a variant accepts?
- Yes. Set a per-variant limit and the pre-order option disappears when it is reached.
- What happens when an order has both in-stock and pre-order items?
- Ayra handles the partial fulfilment so in-stock items ship immediately and the pre-order ships when it lands.
