10-minute setup checklist
A working Ayra setup takes about ten minutes once the app is installed: turn on the modules you need, set the first loyalty earn rule, choose which tabs the account hub shows, publish one flow, and verify each step on the storefront as a test customer. Do the steps in order; each one is visible on the customer timeline before you move to the next.
Before you start (1 minute)
Section titled “Before you start (1 minute)”- Ayra is installed and the app embed is on (Install & connect).
- You have a test customer account on the storefront with an email you can read.
- If you are migrating, your import has finished and the totals are reconciled (migration guides).
1. Pick modules (1 minute)
Section titled “1. Pick modules (1 minute)”Open Ayra → Modules. Turn on the modules you are launching with; leave the rest off. A sensible first set for most stores is Loyalty, Referrals and the Account Hub. Segmentation and Analytics have nothing to configure and can be on from the start.
- Loyalty on
- Referrals on
- Account Hub on
- Segmentation and Analytics on
2. Loyalty earn rules (3 minutes)
Section titled “2. Loyalty earn rules (3 minutes)”Open Loyalty → Earn rules. Each rule is a toggle with its own value.
- Orders: points per currency unit spent (the default is 1 point per $1; change the ratio, not the rule).
- Account signup: a one-time bonus. Keep it small; it sets the tone.
- Reviews, referrals, birthdays: leave off until those modules are verified.
- Reward type: store credit is the default and shows in checkout without a code. Switch to points-only or vouchers only if you have a reason.
- Tiers: skip for now. Tiers are easier to add once you have a month of earn data.
Everything here is in the Loyalty settings reference.
3. Account hub tabs (2 minutes)
Section titled “3. Account hub tabs (2 minutes)”Open Account Hub → Tabs. The hub replaces the default customer account pages with tabs that read the same profile.
- Wallet: on (points, store credit, vouchers, one balance).
- Orders: on.
- Referrals: on if Referrals is on.
- Reviews, Wishlist, Subscriptions: on only when those modules are on.
- Open the storefront account page as your test customer and confirm the tabs render.
See Customer account extensions for what each tab shows.
4. First flow (2 minutes)
Section titled “4. First flow (2 minutes)”Open Flows → Templates and publish Welcome: account created. It sends one email when a customer creates an account, with their signup bonus. It is the safest first flow because it fires once per customer and never competes with another send.
- Publish the welcome flow.
- Open Journey Guard and confirm the defaults: one promotional send per customer per 7 days, quiet hours 21:00–08:00 store time. See Journey Guard rules.
5. Verify on the storefront (1 minute)
Section titled “5. Verify on the storefront (1 minute)”As your test customer:
- Create an account. You should receive the welcome email, and the signup bonus should appear in the Wallet tab.
- Place a small order. The points appear on the wallet once the order is paid.
- In the Ayra admin, open the customer. The timeline shows: account created (signal), welcome flow (action, reason: “welcome flow, first send”), order placed (signal), points earned (action, reason: “earn rule: orders”).
If any of those four lines is missing, the step it belongs to is not finished; the reason column says why.
What to do in week one
Section titled “What to do in week one”- Add a loyalty points block to the product page (Storefront & account blocks).
- Turn on Referrals and share one link yourself to see the full loop.
- Read the Concepts page so the timeline reasons make sense.
- Check Analytics after seven days for the first repeat-rate baseline.
