Migrate from Judge.me
Moving from Judge.me to Ayra means exporting your reviews (with photo and video URLs), Q&A threads and request history as CSV, importing them into Ayra, checking counts and ratings per product, running both apps side by side while Ayra’s blocks are tested, then switching the product page over and letting Ayra mirror ratings to Shopify’s product metafields. It takes a few hours, migration is free during private beta, and the team runs it with you.
What is imported
Section titled “What is imported”- Reviews with photos and videos (CSV)
- Q&A threads
- Review request history
Typical effort: hours. Judge.me exports reviews as CSV; Ayra imports them and mirrors ratings to Shopify metafields.
Field mapping
Section titled “Field mapping”Product handle and customer email are the join keys. Media is re-hosted from the URLs in the export, so the Judge.me CDN can go away after cut-over.
| Judge.me field | Ayra field | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Product handle / ID | Product (by handle) | Reviews for deleted products are listed and skipped unless you map them |
| Reviewer email | Customer profile (by email) | Verified-buyer status is recomputed from Shopify orders |
| Reviewer name | Review display name | Kept as written |
| Rating | Review rating | 1–5 |
| Title and body | Review title and body | Kept verbatim |
| Review date | Review published date | Preserved for ordering and freshness |
| Picture / video URLs | Review media | Downloaded and re-hosted by Ayra during import |
| Verified | Verified buyer | Imported value is replaced by Ayra’s own order check where an order exists |
| Published / hidden | Review status | Hidden reviews import as unpublished |
| Reply | Merchant reply | Kept with its date |
| Question / answer rows | Q&A threads | Imported with the answer’s author label |
| Review request history | Request log | Prevents Ayra from asking the same customer again inside your request interval |
-
Export from Judge.me
In Judge.me, export all reviews as CSV with media URLs included, and export the Q&A threads. Keep the review request history export too, so Ayra does not re-request from customers who were asked recently.
-
Map the fields
Match the Judge.me columns to Ayra review fields using the mapping table. Product handle and customer email are the join keys; reviews for products that no longer exist are listed before import.
-
Import into Ayra
Upload in Ayra → Reviews → Import. Ayra runs a dry run, re-hosts photos and videos from the media URLs, and reports counts per product and per rating.
-
Reconcile the counts
Compare review count, average rating and media count per product between Judge.me and the import report. Re-run the dry run until they match.
-
Run both in parallel
Keep Judge.me widgets live. Add Ayra's review blocks to the product page hidden, and pause Judge.me's request emails so customers are not asked twice while Ayra's request flow is tested.
-
Cut over
Import the delta, switch the product page and collection blocks to Ayra, let Ayra mirror ratings to the product metafields, and disable Judge.me's widgets and snippets.
-
Uninstall Judge.me
After checking rich results in Search Console reflect the Ayra rating metafields, uninstall Judge.me and remove any theme snippets it left behind.
What is not imported
Section titled “What is not imported”- Widget settings and styling. Ayra’s review blocks are configured in the theme editor and follow your theme’s styles; see Theme app blocks & embeds.
- Syndication to Google Shopping, Etsy or Amazon. Judge.me’s syndication is not part of Ayra at launch; the rating metafields Ayra writes power rich results for your own storefront.
- Review request email templates. Ayra’s review request flow replaces them and is timed to delivery; it is held for customers with an open support issue (Trust Recovery).
- Reviews on products that no longer exist in Shopify unless you map them to a current product.
Running both in parallel
Section titled “Running both in parallel”Keep Judge.me’s widgets live until the Ayra import is verified. Pause Judge.me’s request emails first, so a customer who ordered this week is not asked by both apps. Add Ayra’s review blocks hidden, confirm the imported reviews and media render, then switch. Only one app should write the product rating metafields at a time; Ayra starts mirroring ratings at cut-over, not at import.
Cut-over checklist
Section titled “Cut-over checklist”- Delta import run; counts, average ratings and media counts reconciled per product

- Ayra product page and collection blocks visible; Judge.me widgets disabled
- Ayra rating metafields on (Reviews → Settings → Mirror ratings); Judge.me’s metafields no longer written
