Plans & billing

Ayra is priced on monthly orders, not on modules or seats: every plan includes all eleven modules, the customer profile, Journey Guard and analytics, and the only things that change between plans are the orders included and the support you get. Billing runs through Shopify’s app billing, appears on your Shopify invoice, and can be changed any time with the difference prorated. The table and rules below are read from the same source as the pricing page.

Annual billing is 2 months free; the annual column is the yearly total divided by twelve.

Plus is for Shopify Plus merchants and adds checkout UI extensions for reward redemption, POS earn and redeem, a multi-store customer profile and an SLA with a named contact. It is scoped per contract; talk to us.

What counts as an order

An order is any order created in Shopify in the calendar month, across every sales channel, excluding cancelled and test orders.

Orders are counted once, when they are created, whatever happens to them later. A refund does not remove an order from the count, and a cancelled or test order is never counted. Orders from every sales channel count (online store, POS, Shop app, draft orders that convert, checkout links), because Ayra’s profile and attribution read all of them.

Order metering

Your plan’s included orders reset on the first day of each calendar month. Usage is shown in Ayra → Billing as a running count with the plan ceiling, updated within minutes of each order. There is no metering of customers, loyalty members, subscribers or messages sent by email.

Going over your plan

Ayra uses a soft cap. When a month’s orders pass the plan ceiling, nothing switches off: the storefront blocks, the account hub and every flow keep running. You get seven days of grace and a prompt in the admin to move up a plan. Above the Pro ceiling, billing is usage-based per additional order.

Annual billing

Annual billing is two months free: you pay for ten months and get twelve. The annual column in the table above is the yearly total divided by twelve. Annual plans are billed once through Shopify app billing; moving between annual plans mid-term is prorated.

Credits for SMS and WhatsApp

Email is included on every plan with no sending limit beyond Journey Guard’s caps. SMS and WhatsApp are prepaid credit packs: you buy a pack in Ayra → Billing → Credits, each message deducts credits at that channel’s rate, and Ayra pauses SMS and WhatsApp sends (never email) when the balance reaches zero, with a warning at 20%. Credits do not expire while the app is installed.

Changing or cancelling

Upgrade or downgrade from Ayra → Billing; the change takes effect immediately and Shopify prorates the difference to the day. Downgrading below your current month’s order count is allowed; the soft cap applies from that moment. Uninstalling the app ends billing at the end of the current period; see Uninstall & export for what happens to balances and data.
