Retention Analytics
Ayra Retention Analytics is a Shopify retention reporting module that shows repeat purchase rate, lifetime value and cohort retention curves, and attributes revenue to each module and flow from one source so nothing is double counted. It also reports loyalty liability and subscription MRR and churn.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”- Repeat purchase rate. How many customers come back, over time and by segment.
- LTV and cohort retention curves. Lifetime value and retention by signup cohort, so you can see whether newer customers stay longer.
- Revenue attribution per module and per flow. Revenue Truth attributes each order to the action that earned it, from one source. No module claims the same order twice.
- Loyalty liability report. Outstanding points and store credit as a liability figure for your accountant.
- Subscription MRR and churn. Monthly recurring revenue, churn and the outcomes of Save Engine offers.
- Export CSV. Every report exports to CSV for your own spreadsheets and BI tools.
How it connects to other modules
Section titled “How it connects to other modules”Every module reads and writes the same customer profile, so these connections need no integration work.
- Segmentation: Every report can be filtered by segment, because both read the same profile.
- Loyalty & Rewards: Loyalty liability and points-driven revenue come straight from the loyalty ledger.
- Subscriptions: MRR and churn are calculated from Shopify subscription contracts, not a separate copy.
Built on Shopify
Section titled “Built on Shopify”Shopify primitives used: Orders webhooks, Shopify customer data. Nothing is injected into the theme.
Replaces: Lifetimely.
How it works day to day
Section titled “How it works day to day”Analytics reads the same profile, signals and actions as every other module, so the numbers are consistent with what you see on each customer’s timeline. The reports that matter most for retention are on the first screen: repeat purchase rate, time to second order, revenue by lifecycle stage, and revenue attributed to each module and flow. Attribution follows Revenue Truth: an order is credited to at most one retention action, the one that triggered it, so module reports never add up to more than your actual revenue.
What you will use most:
- Repeat rate and cohorts. Monthly cohorts by first order, with repeat rate and revenue per customer over time. The baseline appears after seven days of signals and backfills from Shopify order history.
- Module attribution. Revenue, orders and margin contribution per module and per flow, with the single-touch rule applied and a column for “no retention action” so nothing is inflated.
- Journey Guard report. How many actions were sent, held or dropped, and for which reason (cap, quiet hours, conflict, open issue). This is the quickest way to tune your caps.
- Opportunities. Open opportunities by type and priority, and how many converted.
Reports export as CSV, and the attribution figures are also written to order metafields so your other tools can read them.
Set up in brief
Section titled “Set up in brief”- Turn the module on. There are no settings beyond the attribution window (default 7 days for messages, 30 for referral codes).
- Wait a week for the first baseline, or import history during migration to see it immediately.
- Pin the module attribution report; it is the one you will be asked about.
Where to go next
Section titled “Where to go next”- Setup: turn the module on and configure it.
- Storefront & account blocks: what shoppers see and where it goes.
- Settings reference: every setting, in one table.
- FAQ
- Product page: Retention Analytics
- How does Ayra attribute revenue between modules?
- Revenue Truth assigns each order to the action that earned it from one source of truth, so a loyalty redemption and a referral cannot both claim the same order.
- Can I see lifetime value by cohort?
- Yes. Cohort retention curves and LTV are reported by signup month and by segment.
- Does it report loyalty liability?
- Yes. Outstanding points and store credit are reported as a liability figure.
- Can I export the data?
- Yes. Every report exports to CSV.
